Taipei International Chain and Franchise Expo:

Since the first hosting of "Taipei International Chain Franchise Expo” in 2000, ACFPT has held a number of such large-scale events and now it is known as the largest and most professional international chain show event in Asia. For the event, ACFPT has invited leading counterpart franchise headquarters at home and throughout the world to participate , notably counterparts in Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines and so on to join the exhibition.

Franchising Middle East 2006 in its third showing is the largest International Franchise Show in the MENA Region. The show has brought Franchise opportunities in the Middle East region and showcases the Investment & Business avenues available for Entrepreneurs, Holding Companies and Small and Medium Business Owners.

Highlights of the Show in 2005 :

• Inaugurated by Saeed AL Muntafique, Director General of Dubai Development & investment Authority.
• Visited by H.H. General Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai and Defence Minister of U.A.E.
• Hosted by Mohammad Bin Rashid Establishment for Young Business Leaders , the show has given tremendous opportunity to local nationals to set up their own businesses.
• Seminars on Franchise by International Experts in the areas of Franchise Business Set-up, Laws, Investment and Consultancy.
• The event featured 72 companies from 18 countries exhibited at the event, showcasing more than 18 categories of Franchise Products, Brands and Services.

The show witnessed an impressive attendance from the exhibition attracted 3,680 trade and business visitors from 40 countries.

**  With at least 6 members keen to participate to form a Singapore pavilion, FLA  could apply for the IMAP incentive providing up to 50% subsidy on the cost of participation.

Japan Franchise Association (JFA) will be hosting the next World Franchise Council (WFC) meeting from 6 – 8 March in Tokyo Bay Ariake Washington Hotel.     36 member association representatives will gather to discuss the council constitutions, best practices and collaboration proposals.  Following, JFA has also planned for visit to their Japan Franchise show and Business Expo at TOKYO BIG SIGHT. 

We welcome members to join us at the meeting cum visit to the Japan Franchise expo.  Specific meetings could also be arranged through our counterpart in Japan, subject to availability.
